The S1es aluminium façade system offers certified protection against forced entry, bullets, and blasts — all while maintaining the appearance of a standard curtain wall. Seamlessly integrating with Schüco FWS aesthetics, it delivers invisible high security with full architectural flexibility.
Certified resistance against forced entry, bullets, and explosions
Compatible with Schüco FWS appearance for uniform building design
Face widths: 50 mm or 60 mm, including Semi-SG variants
Tailored security levels per façade zone, up to RC5 and FB7
Fully integrated doors and windows in the same resistance class
Tested with large-scale units under real-world blast pressure conditions
Supports high infill thicknesses (e.g. 110 mm) for thermal performance
Sound insulation up to 48 dB and thermal insulation up to 0.9 W/(m²·K)
Ideal for embassies, critical infrastructure, and high-security buildings
Architectural freedom meets invisible, certified security
The S1es aluminium façade system was developed by SÄLZER in collaboration with Schüco to deliver high-security performance in a discreet, modern design. It allows for maximum creative freedom while incorporating resistance to forced entry, ballistic attack, and explosive blasts — all without changing the visual identity of the building.
Available in multiple face widths and semi-structural glazing (Semi-SG) options, S1es enables secure façade planning with matching insert units like windows and doors, tested in the same resistance classes. This modularity supports flexible security zoning — from highly secured ground floors to more open upper levels.
With high infill capacity for triple glazing, excellent thermal values, and tested acoustic performance, S1es doesn’t compromise between form and function. The system is CE-certified and has been independently tested under extreme blast and ballistic conditions, making it a trusted solution for embassies, government buildings, and commercial developments requiring discreet protection.
Certified facade protection with exceptional thermal and acoustic performance
Tested in accordance with DIN EN 1627–1630. Security levels can be configured individually, offering up to RC5 resistance in designated façade zones depending on system design and component selection.
Compliant with DIN EN 1522–1523 up to FB7-NS, with glazing according to DIN EN 1063 up to BR7-NS. Suitable for high-risk areas such as embassies and government buildings.
Tested for blast protection using 500 kg explosive charges at 29 m. Proven performance in large façade units and custom configurations under real explosion conditions.
Thermal insulation values: Uf up to 1.4 W/(m²·K), overall Ucw value up to 0.9 W/(m²·K). Sound insulation: up to 48 dB for S1es-50 and SemiSG models; 46 dB for S1es-60 variants.
Available in S1es-50 and S1es-60, with optional Semi-SG variants for horizontal and vertical emphasis. Supports infill thicknesses up to 110 mm for high insulation glazing.
Fully compatible with high-security doors and windows — including side-hung, tilt-before-turn, transom, and automated units — all certified to the same resistance level as the façade.
Available as mullion-transom, double façade, skylight, and top-light constructions. Offers a wide range of cover shells, pressure plates, and design variants for full architectural flexibility.
Compliant with DIN EN 13830: wind load resistance up to 2.0/3.0 kN/m², water tightness up to RE 1200, air permeability to AE, impact resistance up to I5/E5.
