About the METAS® Security Window System
Engineered for extreme protection in high-risk environments
The METAS® window series is developed specifically for environments where safety, control, and human dignity must coexist. It provides resistance against escape from the inside and assisted break-ins from the outside, certified up to RC4 levels.
What sets the METAS® system apart is its unique grille-free security design. With solid vent profiles, flush-fitted glazing beads, and concealed hardware, the windows eliminate suicide risks while ensuring robust physical security.

Tested security and durability under extreme conditions
Forced Entry & Break-Out Resistance
Certified to DIN EN 1627–1630: Fixed glazing up to RC4 inside and out, opening units up to RC3 (inside) and RC4 (outside). Glazing up to P7B for enhanced protection.
Suicide & Vandalism Prevention
Concealed hardware and tamper-proof design with no handles on inmate side. Rounded, flush sashes and secure glazing prevent removal or injury.
Thermal & Acoustic Insulation
Uw values from 1.4–1.7 W/m²K (double glazing) and 0.8–1.5 W/m²K (triple glazing). Acoustic performance up to Rw 45 dB.
Durability & Load Testing
Lifecycle tested to 20,000 open/close cycles with sash weights up to 350 kg, ensuring long-term reliability in secure environments.
Weather Resistance
Wind load resistance up to Class C5 (2000 Pa), watertightness up to E 900 (900 Pa), and air permeability Class 4 (600 Pa).
Surface Finishes & Profiles
Available in anodised or powder-coated aluminium. Slimline profiles maintain discreet aesthetics despite high security functionality.
Installation & Compatibility
Tested for multiple substrates including concrete and masonry. Adaptable to existing structures with security-specific fixings.
