Bifold external doors are a practical choice if you want to add a feature that lets in natural light and offers a view, while still maintaining good energy efficiency. Our glass and aluminium bifold doors are designed to provide good insulation against the external elements. They have U-values of 1.65W/m²K for double glazing and 1.41W/m²K for triple glazing. These numbers indicate how well the doors keep heat inside your home. Lower values mean better insulation, so these doors help maintain a comfortable indoor temperature, reducing the need for heating in winter and cooling in summer. This helps save on energy bills while still enjoying the benefits of natural light and a wide-open view.

In addition to the low U-values of the glazing, the frames of these bifold doors are made from thermally broken aluminium. This means they contain a ‘thermal break,’ which is a section of insulating material that prevents heat transfer.
